Description

Simplified Canless LED Installation — Our 6 inch LED canless recessed lighting is powered by it's own dedicated junction box that houses an advanced LED driver, so there’s no need for oversized recessed housings anymore. Easily mount your 6" LED downlight to the ceiling using spring-loaded clips, while the slim LED panel and J-box only require 2 inches in ceiling height. They’re also approved for direct contact with insulation, similar to standard recessed cans.

Insulation Contact Safe (IC Rated) — Our intertek 6 inch ultra thin downlight is IC rated for safe contact with insulation after installation.

Wet Rated Airtight Seal — Water or dust can't damage this 6" brushed nickel recessed light trim because of it's unique airtight weatherproof enclosure. Even humidity, debris, or unconditioned airflow can't leak in or out of your room’s interior.

Switch Between 5 Color Temperatures — Select the perfect tone of white light for your application by sliding the dip switch. Change your ultra thin canless recessed lighting color temperature to 2700K Soft White, 3000K Warm White, 3500K Neutral White, 4000K Cool White, and 5000K Daylight.

Built to Last — Ditch plastic trims and outdated bulbs. Our 6 inch wafer LED lights are fully constructed out of diecast aluminum for a cooler heat dissipating construction. Additionally, the airtight seal keeps dust and unconditioned air out, making the air in your room cleaner and more comfortable.

Flicker Free Smooth Dimming — Our dimmable 6 inch downlight uses it's own high-grade LED driver to handle dimming down to 10% brightness without any harsh strobing.

Best in Class Certifications — You can trust our recessed lighting brushed nickel downlight offers superior quality and energy efficiency. It's ETL listed.

Perfect for Both Homes and Businesses — Our recessed remodel LED lighting works for everyone, from pro contractors to DIY enthusiasts, whether you’re dealing with new construction or a remodel. They shine in residential settings, kitchens, commercial lighting, storefronts, and restaurants. Plus, their moisture-resistant design makes them an excellent option for showers or under outdoor soffits.

High Definition Color Rendering (CRI 90) — Everything looks more vibrant and natural with high CRI LED lighting. Objects, skin tones, clothes, and food appear richer, more bright, and closer to their natural colors.

NuWatt Advantage — We are a family owned, US based LED lighting supplier. Our lights come with a 5 year warranty and a 50,000 hour lifespan, great for commercial, residential, and industrial use.

Frequently Asked Questions

A wafer light is a type of ultra thin, canless recessed light that installs directly into a ceiling without traditional recessed housing. Its slim design makes it especially useful for shallow ceiling spaces, renovations, and areas with limited clearance.

Many NuWatt recessed lights can work with compatible smart dimmers and switches, allowing you to control brightness through an app or smart home system. Compatibility depends on the specific fixture and control. NuWatt also offers dedicated smart recessed lights with color and brightness control through an app.

Yes! NuWatt IC rated canless recessed lights allow both the LED light module and the junction box to be in direct contact with or covered by ceiling insulation.

Not exactly. Wet rated recessed lights are designed to withstand moisture and direct water exposure in covered outdoor ceilings and showers. However, wet rated does not mean the fixture can be submerged in water or exposed to high pressure water jets.

No, NuWatt wet rated recessed lights are not suitable for saunas or steam showers. These environments expose fixtures to extreme heat, humidity, and steam, requiring specialized ratings. Only install a fixture if its specifications explicitly approve it for those conditions.
