Description

Smart Recessed Lighting: The NuWatt 6 inch smart downlight is red, green, blue, and white selectable through our app. It also gives you the power to select anywhere from 2700K to 6000K.

Simplified Canless LED Installation — Have 6" canless recessed lighting up and running quick, without needing those massive recessed housings or cans. Our 6" wafer light uses a small junction box for the driver and electrical connections instead. You remain code compliant and safe, and the slim design only requires two inches of overhead ceiling space to be installed.

Insulation Contact Safe (IC Rated) — The junction box that comes with this slim LED light allows for safe contact with insulation. This is an essential feature for both residential and commercial settings to prevent the risk of overheating or ignition of insulation.

Wet Rated Airtight Seal — Water and dust are no threat to our wet rated recessed light due to it's airtight and weatherproof enclosure. Humidity, debris, or unconditioned air above your ceiling can't leak in or out of your room’s interior.

Built to Last — Our 6 inch recessed light integrated diecast aluminum heat sink and trim offer heat absorbing energy efficiency. Additionally, the airtight seal between the LED panel and trim keeps dust and unconditioned air out, making the air in your room cleaner.

Flicker Free Smooth Dimming — Our 6 inch wafer light comes with a advanced LED driver for smooth dimming down to 10% brightness.

Best in Class Certifications — This 6" recessed LED offers superior quality and energy efficiency. It's ETL listing proves it's high standards in quality and safety.

Perfect for Both Homes and Businesses — Whether you’re a professional contractor or a DIY homeowner working on new construction or a remodel, our 6 in recessed lighting are ideal for residential spaces, kitchens, commercial lighting, storefronts, and restaurants. Thanks to it's water resistant design, they can even be installed in showers or under exterior soffits.

High Definition Color Rendering (CRI 90) — Objects, skin tones, clothes, and food appear richer, more vibrant, and closer to their natural colors with our slim LED recessed lighting.

NuWatt Advantage — We are a family owned, US based LED lighting supplier. Our lights come with a 5 year warranty and a 50,000 hour lifespan, great for commercial, residential, and industrial use.

Frequently Asked Questions

A wafer light is a type of ultra thin, canless recessed light that installs directly into a ceiling without traditional recessed housing. Its slim design makes it especially useful for shallow ceiling spaces, renovations, and areas with limited clearance.

Many NuWatt recessed lights can work with compatible smart dimmers and switches, allowing you to control brightness through an app or smart home system. Compatibility depends on the specific fixture and control. NuWatt also offers dedicated smart recessed lights with color and brightness control through an app.

Yes! NuWatt IC rated canless recessed lights allow both the LED light module and the junction box to be in direct contact with or covered by ceiling insulation.

Not exactly. Wet rated recessed lights are designed to withstand moisture and direct water exposure in covered outdoor ceilings and showers. However, wet rated does not mean the fixture can be submerged in water or exposed to high pressure water jets.

No, NuWatt wet rated recessed lights are not suitable for saunas or steam showers. These environments expose fixtures to extreme heat, humidity, and steam, requiring specialized ratings. Only install a fixture if its specifications explicitly approve it for those conditions.
